Level detection in diethyl ether tank

Diethyl ether, also known as diethyl ether, ethoxyethane, diethyl ether, diethyl ether or simply ether, is a clear, colorless and highly flammable liquid with a low boiling point and a typical odor. The diethyl ether has the formula CH3-CH2-O-CH2-CH3.

The uses of diethyl ether are: the chemical industry where it is used as a solvent to produce the collodion which is one of the basic components of the smokeless powder. It is also marketed in aerosol as a starting aid for heat engines.

In medicine, Ether has long been used as anesthetic.
