Dimanche 19 avril 2020 In France, since December 24th 2006, in compliance with the decree of May 29th 1997, any device or accessory in contact with drinking water meant human consumption must be ACS or Sanitary Conformity Certification certified. It is important to know that certain materials and objects when in contact with water meant for human consumption may affect its purity and its organoleptic, physicochemical or microbiological characteristics, resulting in sanitary risks to consumers! Watch out for penalties! Concerning ATS 165 float level switch and SOBA EP level regulator for drinking water applications, ATMI ACS Sanitary Conformity Certification has been renewed from June 2011 to June 2016. The ACS Sanitary Conformity Certification is mandatory for any device in contact with drinking water meant for human consumption. The non-compliance of this standard during an inspection of the French DGCCRF Departement results in fines, products recall, and even penal sanctions.
