Bulk solids level measurement - ATMI's solutions
SOLIBA mechanical tilt level switches

To measure the level of bulk solids, ATMI has developed its range of SOLIBA mechanical tilt level switches designed to stop the filling of silos, storage zones containing diverse types of grains, powders, and bulk solids.

Over the years, the success of the SOLIBA tilt level switches has been due to their easy installation, their easy use and their economical prices.

Besides, unlike other level measurement devices (rotating paddles, vibrating forks, radars, capacitive and ultrasonic sensors, for example), the SOLIBA tilt level switches do not require a complicated installation or a specific set up.

What’s more, they have they following significant advantages:

- They do not suffer any interference that may be exist in silos facilities located near railway stations or electrical cables.

- Their operation is not affected even when the device is completely covered with dust.

With only one SOLIBA tilt level switch it is possible to stop the filling of silos and storage zones in a wide range of applications:

Grains and cereals: oat, soybean, rice, wheat, corn, sunflower, etc.
Animal food: for pets, for birds and poultry, for cattle, etc.
Powders: flour, sugar, cement, etc.
Other bulk solids: granules, stones, minerals, sawdust, pellets, etc.

All SOLIBA tilt level switches work by tilting in connection with the filling system circuit. The SOLIBA needs to be suspended vertically at the desired height. Once the flow of grain reaches the SOLIBA, its microswitch inside will tilt at a swtiching angle of 10º. Likewise, the SOLIBA returns to its vertical position when the grain level decreases.

Important: If your silo or storage zone is already equipped with another type of level measurement device, we highly recommend, for a small expense, to install a mechanical tilt level switch SOLIBA as a high level alarm (sound or light) in order to secure your installations and to prevent any overflows due to an eventual failure of the electronic level measurement devices.
