News - Float and Tilt Level Switches

Wednesday, March 29, 2017

SOBA Range products by ATMI are designed to regulate the level of liquid in a tank or a cistern. For an optimal control it is recommended to use two SOBA omnidirectional level regulators. The first one will detect the low level and the other will detect the high level you desired.

When the liquid (water or something else) reaches the high level regulator it will tilt and contact circuits connected to an electrical panel in order to stop the filling. But, if the liquid decreases until the low regulator it will also tilt and contact the feeding circuit to start the filling. You can even install a third float for the critical high level.

Many types of SOBA models are available so you will find easily the more suitable system. For instance, if you desire to measure and regulate the level of liquids in harzadous areas, we suggest you tu use the ATEX certified  SOBA EX
